RTX is seeking a highly experienced Structural Analyst to provide durability and structural integrity analyses for gas-turbine compressor components (HPC). You will use FEM and classical methods across design, development, validation, certification, manufacturing and service in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

This onsite role in Middletown, CT offers relocation eligibility and a salary range of 107,500–204,500 USD, with benefits and annual incentive programs. Candidates must be U.S.

Qualifikationen

• BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 8+ years of experience OR
• Advanced degree with 5+ years of experience
• Background in structural analysis and 8+ years of experience, with demonstrated problem solving skills using FEM for stress/deflection, vibration, and performing LCF, HCF, Fracture Mechanics or Kinematics analyses.

Aufgaben

• Provide structures analytical support for programs with responsibility for durability and structural integrity of gas-turbine compressor components.
• Provide analytical support for preliminary and detailed design through development, validation, certification, manufacturing and service.
• Use FE and classical methods for strength, stress/deflection, vibration, fatigue life, damage tolerance, containment, and kinematic analyses.
• Cover validation testing (engine and rig) and data-reduction.
• Support in-service field investigations.
• Participate on multi-discipline teams to balance durability, performance, cost and weight.
• Provide leadership oversight and technical guidance for less experienced engineers and outsourced tasks.
• Coordinate to advance technology and improve engineering standard work processes.
• Document and present results to management and external customers.
• Travel Requirements: 10%
