Job summary

RTX is seeking an established Engineering professional to work on structures analysis for fan, low/high pressure compressors, with a focus on commercial and military engine models.

The role requires on-site work at the East Hartford site, with responsibilities across design, development, validation, and manufacturing stages. A B.S. or higher in mechanical/aerospace engineering is required, with citizenship as a prerequisite.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 5+ years of engineering experience or Advanced degree with 3+ years
• U.S. citizenship is required to access information under this program/contract.
• Experience in Mechanical Structures engineering is preferred.
• Proficiency with Teamcenter/Simcenter, Ansys is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Structures support across all phases of the design cycle from concept to service.
• Conduct and lead structures analysis to ensure cost efficiency, manufacturability and reliability.
• Identify and correct structural issues to ensure project completion.
• Support new products and processes and improve existing products.
• Perform Finite Element Analysis with Ansys and Simcenter.
