Job summary
Northrop Grumman seeks a Principal Structural Engineer to join a team focused on air and space structures in Manhattan Beach, CA (or Roy, UT). You will analyze and develop structural specifications, manage damage tolerance, and use tools like CATIA, IDEAS and ProEngineer.
A DoD Secret clearance and US citizenship are required, with relocation support possible. You will collaborate with systems engineering, design and test teams to deliver safe, reliable, and innovative solutions that advance
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Science/STEM with 5+ years, or Master’s with 3+, or PhD with 0+.
- US Citizenship with active DoD Secret Clearance within 5 years.
- Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).
- Experience running dynamic and static analysis.
- Proficiency in MATLAB (or equivalent) for analysis.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and develop structural engineering specifications for products.
- Analyze damage tolerance, durability, design allowables and modeling.
- Utilize CATIA, IDEAS, ProEngineer and related software.
- Collaborate with adjacent disciplines in a highly integrated team.
