Job summary

Luminant Generation Company LLC is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to lead structural inspection programs for fossil and renewable fleet assets in Irving, TX. You will provide design and maintenance plans, ensuring safe, reliable operation, and coordinate with multiple work groups.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree with 8 years of related experience; a PE license is preferred. You will manage multiple projects, communicate options clearly, and align designs with regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; structural engineering experience preferred.
• Registered PE preferred in at least one state with Vistra plant assets.
• Technical proficiency in civil/structural engineering and design/repair practices for power plant equipment.
• Knowledge of legal, regulatory, and code requirements affecting design and construction.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and maintain fossil/renewables fleet structural inspection programs.
• Provide civil/structural support for Vistra generation fleet.
• Prepare reports, sketches, and designs with cost/schedule estimates.
• Coordinate effective contractor management and ensure adherence to standards.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
