Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking candidates for the position of Principal / Sr. Principal Factory Change Control Engineer to support advanced technology development programs. This position is located at the Linthicum, MD location.

This is a dual level requisition which can be filled as a Principal or Sr. Principal Factory Change Control Engineer

What You’ll get to Do:

  • Create procedures and best practices for implementing controlled changes for various components within a new Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) system. Components include but are not limited to Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), Document Control, product specification limit management, operating procedure and certification management.

  • Contribute to projects aimed at optimizing and standardizing factory system setup procedures, change implementation and training plans.

  • Work collaborativelywith other engineering teams to understand the needs for change control.

  • Help to identify software and systems needed for successful change control procedures.

Basic Qualifications for Principal Factory Change Control Engineer :

  • A degree in a STEM area (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with a minimum of 5 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree, 3 years of experience with a master’s degree, or 0 years of experience with a PhD.

  • Experience with modern automated factory systems in a semiconductor or microelectronics fab.

  • Understanding of business processes, best practices, andQMS components for managing changes in a semiconductor or microelectronics fabrication line.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present. frequent updates to management.

  • Must be willing to work on site 100% of time.

  • Limited travel to local Northrop Grumman facilities may be required.

  • This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen

  • Must be able to obtain and maintaina US government security clearance per business requirements

Basic Qualifications for S r. Principal Factory Change Control Engineer:

  • A degree in a STEM area (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with a minimum of 8 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree, 6 years of experience with a master’s degree, or 4 years of experience with a PhD

  • Experience with modern automated factory systems in a semiconductor or microelectronics fab.

  • Understanding of business processes, best practices, and QMS components for managing changes in a semiconductor or microelectronics fabrication line.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present frequent updates to management.

  • Must be willing to work on site 100% of time.

  • Limited travel to local Northrop Grumman facilities may be required.

  • This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen

  • Must be able to obtain and maintaina US government security clearance per business requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active US government security clearance per business requirements

  • Experience with starting up a modern automated or semi-automated new semiconductor manufacturing line.

  • Experience with implementing new change control procedures.

  • Experienced with implementing new QMS components.

  • Has worked with Applied Materials SmartFactory CIM solution.

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and software tools, i.e. Atlassian tools stack - Jira, Confluence.

Salary Range: $95,800.00 - $143,600.00Salary Range 2: $119,200.00 - $178,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
