RTX is seeking a materials planner in the Forest, MS area to coordinate procurement, production scheduling, and material availability. The role focuses on ensuring a steady flow of components to meet the master production schedule and customer requirements, while monitoring MRP/ERP outputs and KPI performance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Evaluate program requirements to ensure material flow to meet customer requirements.

What You Will Do

• Evaluating and coordinating program requirements to ensure a controlled flow of materials and services to meet customer requirements.
• Providing status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed.
• Working daily to confirm material supply availability.
• Preparing purchase requests for components based on a master production schedule, shop load, and inventory requirements.
• Working with program support staff to resolve material shortages and other issues impacting product build.
• Reporting on and troubleshooting MRP system generated exceptions; and taking corrective action on unfavorable trends as necessary.
• Accountable for achieving organizational Key Performance Metrics (KPIs) for the assigned product line.
• Responsible for maintaining stacked LOB and extracting impact data for weekly analysis in support of IPT/PPR meetings with programs.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
• Experience to include planning, scheduling, production control, supply chain, manufacturing, operations, finance, or relevant project management experience.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience utilizing lean manufacturing concepts with a proven track record of lean or six sigma project implementations.
• Experience with ERP or purchasing systems.
• Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook).

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Contract Type: Onsite; Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.
