Job summary

RTX is seeking a material availability analyst for its Chesapeake, VA facility. The role focuses on analyzing material availability, tracking performance, and releasing production orders in the MRP system.

You will coordinate kitting and provide shop floor support, ensuring WIP movement and inventory integrity. Ideal candidates will have a university degree or equivalent, plus experience in planning, scheduling, production control, and lean manufacturing concepts.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience to include planning, scheduling, production control, supply chain, manufacturing, operations, project management or related transferable skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams.
  • Lean manufacturing concepts and experience with lean or six sigma project implementations.
  • Experience with Kanban, MRP/ERP systems or similar inventory control methods.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze material availability, track and report performance metrics.
  • Release production orders in the MRP system and confirm in shop floor systems.
  • Coordinate kitting with stores and consolidation areas.
  • Provide production floor support including replacement parts management and WIP movement.
  • Maintain integrity of shop floor, MRP and inventory systems with KPI tracking.
  • This is an onsite role at the Chesapeake, VA facility.

What You Will Do
  • Material Availability Analysis, Tracking, and Reporting.
  • Releasing production orders in MRP system and confirming in shop floor system.
  • Coordinates kitting process with multiple stores and consolidation areas.
  • Provide production floor support including replacement part management, shop floor material staging, Work in Progress (WIP) movement through shared resource areas, completion of units in shop floor and MRP system, delivery to next step (inventory or shipment), and meeting MRP schedule.
  • Maintaining integrity of the shop floor, MRP, and inventory systems through key performance metrics.
  • This will be an onsite role in our Chesapeake, VA facility.
Qualifications
  • You Must Have: Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.
  • Experience to include planning, scheduling, production control, supply chain, manufacturing, operations, project management experience, or other relevant transferable skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and Teams.
  • We Prefer: Experience utilizing lean manufacturing concepts with a proven track record of lean or six sigma project implementations.
  • Experience with Wave track and in Material and Inventory Control-type systems such as Kanban, SMI, Continuous Flow Manufacturing Experience managing a product line.

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
