Northrop Grumman Corp. in Dulles, VA, is seeking a Principal (Level 3) to support Space Sector programs.

The role focuses on developing technical content, delivering presentations, and coordinating with mission partners to model mission-level elements. This 100% onsite position requires SCI clearance, offers a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off, and includes potential bonuses and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of professional experience or Master’s degree with 3 years of professional experience or PhD with 1 year of professional experience
• Requires an active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance at time of application
• Experience in systems engineering to include architectural studies, technical baseline definition, requirements & interface management, hardware/software integration, and mission planning & execution
• Experience working with a cross-discipline engineering team

Responsibilities

• Supporting major program milestones and readiness reviews by developing technical content and summarizing them into presentations for key stakeholders.
• Authoring and providing input to program data products and other vital deliverables.
• Working with mission partners to accurately model mission-level elements.
• Assessment of a vehicle’s day-in-the-life and creation of design reference missions (DRMs).
• Producing miscellaneous analysis, such as propellant budget analyses, on-orbit fuel requirements, RF link budgets, and mission lifetime estimates.
• Development of analysis tools as required.
• Requirements Management, including the decomposition of requirements from the Mission down to Subsystems.
• Interface Management, including the development of Interface Control Documentation.
