Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Sector seeks a Principal (Level 3) to join our team in Dulles, VA. This 100% onsite role features a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off and supports new programs in Space Superiority and Warfighting.

You will lead cross-disciplinary work, develop technical content for milestones, and produce critical analyses while coordinating with mission partners and senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of professional experience or Master’s degree with 3 years of professional experience or PhD with 1 year of professional experience
• Requires an active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance at time of application
• Experience in systems engineering to include architectural studies, requirements & interface management, hardware/software integration, and mission planning & execution
• Experience working with a cross-discipline engineering team
• Exposure to Northrop Grumman space vehicle design and production
• Experience with space systems and briefing senior leaders is a plus

Responsibilities

• Support major program milestones and readiness reviews by developing technical content and presenting it to stakeholders
• Author and input program data products and other vital deliverables
• Work with mission partners to model mission-level elements
• Assess a vehicle’s day-in-the-life and create design reference missions (DRMs)
• Produce analyses such as propellant budgets, on-orbit fuel, RF link budgets, and mission lifetime estimates
• Develop analysis tools as required
• Handle requirements management and interface documentation
