Thales is hiring an experienced Principal Solution Architect. The ideal candidate is a seasoned technologist comfortable at the intersection of technology and business. They should be able to think strategically about business and technical challenges, influence stakeholders, and collaborate with Sales, Professional Services, and Product Management to ensure customer success in designing and implementing data security projects both in the cloud and on-premises.

Keys Areas of Responsibility
  1. Present to customers, partners, and at national events, highlighting the technical and business benefits of Thales cybersecurity solutions.
  2. Lead architectural discussions with customers to understand requirements and recommend solutions using our products.
  3. Help customers protect their critical assets—their data.
  4. Work with Product Management to identify and evaluate strategic product enhancements based on market trends and customer needs.
  5. Conduct workshops on cybersecurity industry trends and best practices.
  6. Maintain awareness of relevant products, competitors, and market trends.
  7. Serve as a technical leader and trusted advisor within the organization and to top customers.
Minimum Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering.
  2. 10+ years of pre-sales experience in enterprise software or security, with a proven record of presenting to executive and architect levels.
  3. Expertise in cybersecurity, including industry standards and regulations.
  4. Experience in cross-selling product portfolios.
  5. Knowledge of standards like PCI DSS, PCI PIN, PCI P2PE, ANSI, ISO, EMV.
  6. Experience with storage encryption, KMIP protocol, App-Level Encryption, and Tokenization using REST APIs and languages like C++, Java, Python.
  7. Knowledge of networking and security infrastructure, DevOps/DevSecOps practices, including Kubernetes and Docker.
