This position will be fully remote and can be hired anywhere in the continental U.S.

We are seeking an accomplished cybersecurity professional with a background in SIEM, Endpoint protection, SOAR, vulnerability tracking and remediation, and cloud security. The Platform Architect combines knowledge of IT security tools with the ability to scale and use those tools to create a secure environment for Optiv Security, Inc threat hunters, security analysts, and security engineers. The role requires staying current with the evolving digital and cybersecurity landscape while collaborating with security personnel to employ appropriate tools to solve customer issues.

How You'll Make An Impact

  1. Provide expert support and technical mentoring to the implementation team.
  2. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of IT Security Operations and DevOps practices.
  3. Identify and develop opportunities to leverage ServiceNow, Kubernetes, and AWS Cloud Services.
  4. Deliver hands-on configuration, development, and integration services, ensuring project deliverables meet quality standards.
  5. Plan and oversee testing phases, including design, development, and remediation cycles.
  6. Support practice development, including creating intellectual property (IP).
  7. Develop and present business case materials for senior stakeholders.
  8. Create and deliver tailored presentations and product demonstrations.
  9. Scope and deliver Proof of Concept / Proof of Value engagements.
  10. Respond to RFI/RFP documents.
  11. Act as a subject matter expert on Optiv's platform operations.

What We're Looking For

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in certifications or work experience, preferably in STEM, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, etc.
  2. Over 10 years of experience in the IT industry.
  3. Mandatory experience with Cloud (AWS, Azure), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation), and Python.
  4. Mandatory experience with ServiceNow, ETL pipelines, and automation tools (SaltStack, Ansible, Chef).
  5. Mandatory experience with secure DevOps practices (Git, CI/CD, Cloud Security).
  6. Preferred experience with Elasticsearch, StreamSets, OpenFaas, Kubernetes, Kafka.
  7. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects.
  8. Background in Incident Response, Vulnerability Management, Endpoint Security, or Network Security is preferred.
