Commercial Programming Systems, Inc. is seeking an experienced Principal Solution Architect – JDE to lead design, modernization, and deployment of JD Edwards environments across AWS, Azure, and OCI.

This is a technical architecture role focused on JDE infrastructure and cloud strategy. The ideal candidate brings 15–25 years in enterprise IT and deep JD Edwards CNC and cloud experience, with proven ability to craft secure, highly available architectures and to drive migrations and modernization

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Principal Solution Architect – JD Edwards to lead the design, modernization, and deployment of enterprise JD Edwards (JDE) environments across leading cloud platforms, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

This is a technical architecture role, not a functional JDE consulting position. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in JD Edwards technical architecture, cloud infrastructure, enterprise application modernization, security, high availability, and disaster recovery.

The successful candidate will collaborate with customers, pre-sales teams, cloud engineering teams, and delivery stakeholders to design scalable, secure, and resilient JDE cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical solution architecture for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne environments hosted on AWS, Azure, and OCI.
• Design cloud infrastructure covering compute, networking, storage, databases, middleware, identity, security, and monitoring.
• Architect and support JD Edwards cloud migration, modernization, and infrastructure transformation initiatives.
• Develop scalable, highly available, secure, and resilient enterprise JDE architectures.
• Define disaster recovery and business continuity strategies, including backup, failover/failback, and RPO/RTO requirements.
• Serve as a technical subject matter expert during pre-sales engagements, including solution design, technical presentations, architecture validation, and customer consultations.
• Provide post-sales technical architecture oversight to ensure successful implementation and alignment with approved designs.
• Design cloud governance frameworks, landing zones, security controls, and cost optimization strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support JD Edwards integration, modernization, and emerging AI-driven solutions.
• Create technical architecture documentation, solution proposals, reference architectures, and implementation guidelines.

Required Qualifications

• 15–25 years of experience in enterprise IT, technical architecture, infrastructure architecture, or solution architecture.
• Extensive hands‑on expertise in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne technical architecture and deployment environments.
• Proven experience designing or migrating JD Edwards applications to cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, and OCI.
• Strong understanding of JDE CNC architecture, including application servers, enterprise servers, web servers, databases, and system integrations.
• Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure, including networking, compute, storage, identity management, security, and monitoring.
• Experience leading enterprise application cloud migration and modernization projects.
• Strong understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, backup/recovery, and enterprise security architecture.
• Experience in customer‑facing technical solution architecture, including pre‑sales solutioning and technical design discussions.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and technical leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with IBM AS/400 (iSeries) environments and migration or modernization initiatives.
• Experience designing cloud landing zones and enterprise cloud governance frameworks.
• Exposure to JDE upgrades, infrastructure transformation, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with agentic AI, automation, or AI integration within enterprise ERP environments.
• Relevant AWS, Azure, OCI, or Oracle technical certifications.
• Experience working with global delivery teams and managed cloud services.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are particularly interested in experienced JD Edwards Technical Architects, JDE CNC Architects, JDE Cloud Architects, and Enterprise Solution Architects who have successfully designed, migrated, and supported complex JDE environments on public cloud platforms.

Important: This position requires strong technical architecture and cloud infrastructure expertise. Candidates with exclusively JD Edwards functional consulting backgrounds will not be considered.
