We are seeking an onsite Principal Software Systems Quality Engineer (Quality Assurance/Compliance) to support Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS). The successful candidate must reside within 50 miles of McKinney (travel compensation not included).

The Software Quality Engineering (SWQE) department provides services throughout the product development lifecycle, including review of SW Release Packages, CDRL Deliverables, SW Investigation Requests, SW Trouble Reports, and participation in Peer Reviews, Control Boards, Tracking Books, Command Media, Test Witnessing, and Audits.

Key Locations You Will Support: Software Quality collaborates with Software, Systems, Safety, Hardware, and Product teams, including Program Quality Leads.

• Primary activities occur daily onsite in McKinney, TX.

Key Programs: Global Patriot, Ghost-Eye / Lower Tier Air & Missile Defense, National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile, Short/Medium-Range Ground-Based Air systems, Precision Fires & Maneuver systems, and High Energy Laser systems.

What You Will Do:

• Compliance: Ensure digital products meet contractual and corporate requirements; review and approve software and system inputs/outputs.
• Processes: Apply modern software development and quality practices; adopt Agile and DevSecOps methodologies.
• Improvement: Conduct evaluations, risk assessments, root cause analysis, and drive continuous improvements.
• Products: Maintain the integrity of technical data, measure quality attributes, and monitor testing and releases.
• Teamwork: Collaborate with customers, development, and testing teams; provide guidance to management and peers.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 8 years of Quality or Engineering experience.
• Experience applying advanced concepts across areas such as compliance evaluation, requirements verification, software processes, maintenance, defect management, support, testing, records, release management, and technology knowledge.
• Experience with root cause analysis, metrics development, and PowerPoint presentations for senior management.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience with ISO9001, AS9100, AS9115 standards.
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, development tools, Agile, DevSecOps, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience leading projects, overseeing initiatives, and collaborating with stakeholders.
• Active certifications in Quality, Software Engineering, Agile, Cybersecurity, Systems Engineering, or Project Management.
• Advanced degree preferred.
