Position Summary

The Lead Software QA Engineer is a senior role responsible for leading a QA team, developing automated testing frameworks, strategies, and tools, and ensuring software quality and compliance. The role involves managing complex projects, guiding team activities, collaborating with business analysts, and maintaining quality standards to enhance customer experience.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

• Review project scope and requirements to determine testing strategies.
• Develop reusable test patterns, strategies, and plans.
• Create test cases based on functional requirements.
• Develop and implement automated test scripts.
• Manage test plans and resource allocation.
• Lead and guide project teams.
• Develop manual and automated test cases and transition manual tests to automation.
• Participate in reviews and ensure documentation of test results.
• Research and communicate process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• CTFL certification required; Java certification preferred.

Experience

• 6+ years in software testing, with 4-5 years in automation frameworks.
• Experience with defect tracking tools like JIRA, HP ALM.
• Team lead experience or training for 2+ years.

Preferred Experience

• 3+ years in Java/Python development.
• 3+ years creating automation frameworks.
• 1+ years in test automation (UI, API, Mobile).
