What You'll Do

As the Lead Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer, you are responsible for leading a team of QA engineers performing Quality Assurance testing for the Enterprise Data & Analytics team. You will play a key role in advancing our data maturity across the enterprise by identifying and addressing systematic errors. You will work closely with both business and IT teams to ensure our data remains accurate and reliable for critical decision-making. This role requires leadership in ensuring product quality and reliability, along with continuous process improvement.

This position is ONSITE ONLY (4 days onsite with 1 remote day). Candidates must currently reside in or within a commutable distance from Dallas/Irving, TX, Phoenix, AZ, or Columbus, OH.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate, manage, and mentor a team of QA professionals.
• Develop and implement QA processes, standards, and methodologies.
• Review business requirements and specifications to craft detailed test cases and scripts.
• Create and maintain test artifacts, including test data and validation procedures.
• Collaborate with data analysts, stewards, and engineers on test plans.
• Execute manual and automated tests, report outcomes.
• Identify, document, and communicate bugs and errors to development teams.
• Maintain logs for various testing phases and track defects.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to uphold quality throughout the SDLC.
• Communicate QA processes, obstacles, and milestones to leadership.
• Plan testing scope changes, prioritize tasks, and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Participate in sprints, ceremonies, and PI planning from QA perspective.
• Ensure adherence to Agile processes and use of tools.
• Review and approve Test Plans, Test Cases, SQL scripts, and test results.

Minimum Requirements

• 7+ years in ETL quality assurance.
• 7+ years in automated testing of ETL/Database/Data Warehouse solutions.
• 7+ years in SQL scripting and working with relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, SQL Server, Oracle, Data bricks, and related tools.
• Experience as QA lead on medium to large projects.
• Proven ability to design and implement data warehouse and automated testing solutions.
• Experience in testing data pipelines and related services.
• Guide offshore resources and review their work.
• Experience with workload automation tools like Control-M.
• Familiarity with programming languages like Python.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
• Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Experience working in onshore-offshore models.
• Strong negotiation, influencing, and facilitation skills.
