Job summary

enGen is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to build scalable, public-facing applications across Digital Member Experience channels. You will own end-to-end software delivery, oversee architectural decisions, and ensure PHI security, authorization, encryption, and audit logging across client experiences, API gateways, and backend services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related field.
• 9 years of proficiency in design and analysis of algorithms, data structures, and scalable systems.
• 9 years of experience with multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript) and web services (REST/HTTPS).

Responsibilities

• Lead the resolution of technical and business problems ensuring scalability, performance, security, and reliability.
• Own the complete software development lifecycle from ideation to delivery, with PHI security.
• Define service topologies, drive vendor migrations, and lead partner integrations.
• Mentor and provide leadership to other software engineers.
• Present architecture decisions and strategic solutions to leadership, architecture reviews, and security teams.
