Job summary

CSAA IG is seeking a Principal Software Engineer - Emerging Technology & AI to lead hands-on development, rapid prototyping, and evaluation of AI experiments. You will translate concepts into scalable solutions for delivery teams while shaping technical standards with Enterprise Architecture.

You will mentor engineers, partner with security, data, and platform teams, and drive innovation that improves development, quality, and delivery in a remote-capable environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience with cloud-native services and platforms.
• Proficient in Java/J2EE, Python, Node.js and React.
• Certifications aligned to the technology stack.
• Willingness to travel as needed for role.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design of prototypes, experiments, and pilots across diverse tech
• Build working software and integrations to validate feasibility and risks
• Create design artifacts, docs, and reusable patterns for standards
• Evaluate APIs, cloud services, AI platforms, data sources, and vendor products
• Mentor engineers and guide enterprise adoption while delivering hands-on execution
