Job summary

CSAA IG is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead emerging tech and AI experiments. You will design rapid prototypes, evaluate platforms, and translate concepts into scalable solutions for delivery teams.

As a senior technical leader, you will mentor engineers, define design artifacts, and partner with Enterprise Architecture to guide architecture, security, and governance across initiatives. Required: a Bachelor's degree in CS/engineering and 10+ years of software development, plus

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of software development experience.
• Knowledge of relevant technologies and platforms.
• Cloud-native services (e.g., AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, S3).
• Build, integration, and deployment tools (e.g., Jenkins, Maven).
• Programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Java/J2EE, Python, Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, React).
• Holds applicable certifications aligned to the technology stack.
• Familiarity with cloud-native services and architectures.
• Experience with software build, integration, and deployment tools.
• Demonstrates ownership mindset and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design of experiments, prototypes, and pilots across enterprise use cases.
• Mentor engineers and provide advanced technical guidance to teams.
• Evaluate APIs, cloud services, AI platforms, and vendor products through hands-on testing.
• Draft concise design artifacts and reusable patterns; support enterprise standards.
• Partner with Enterprise Architecture for platform fit, security, and governance.
