Job summary

Verint Systems, Inc. is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to drive the development of the Common Real Time System (CRTS). You will lead design, troubleshoot complex problems, and provide technical guidance to distributed development teams.

You will mentor engineers, establish coding standards, and ensure scalable architectures across cloud-based microservices. The role requires deep experience with Go, Java, and modern cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in architecture, design and development of large-scale applications.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/IT or equivalent.
• Expertise with Go and Java (7+ years).
• 5+ years with Pulsar, NATS, or similar messaging tech.
• 5+ years cloud-based product development, microservices, APIs, event-driven.
• 5+ years SDLC and agile/iterative methodologies; developer by nature with strong analytical skills.
• 4+ years container tech (Docker, Kubernetes, Istio, Keda).
• 5+ years AWS and other vendors (GCP, Azure).
• Strong knowledge of cloud computing and multi-cloud environments.
• 4+ years DevOps tools and CI/CD processes.
• 4+ years PostgreSQL.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Data Dog, Grafana.
• Exposure to AI tools in the development cycle.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate cloud-based technologies against product requirements and for proof-of-concept guidance.
• Provide technical leadership by influencing design and architecture of major software components.
• Produce technical documentation and design artifacts to ensure scalability and reusability across the application.
• Foster a culture of creativity and excellence through technical innovations and thought leadership.
• Mentor and train other engineers on design techniques, test automation, and coding standards.
• Adhere to strict deliverable deadlines while multitasking across time zones and teams.
• Collaborate with peer architects and gain knowledge of integrated solutions.
• Champion product quality, customer-centric thinking, and technical excellence.
• Pioneer research and development to evolve the product and explore new technologies.
• Communicate with customers and stakeholders to understand and resolve production issues.
