Job summary

Snap Inc. seeks a Principal Software Engineer to own scalable, multi-cloud infrastructure powering Snap's services. You will design and operate service mesh, compute, network, and deployments infrastructure, and drive cross-team collaboration to translate product needs into robust solutions.

You will advocate for availability, performance, and cost optimization while providing technical direction that influences the entire company, mentoring engineers along the way.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in CS/Math/Stats or equivalent years of experience.
• 10+ years post-Bachelor’s software dev; or MS+9+; or PhD+6+ years.
• 2+ years in technical leadership or domain-expert roles.

Responsibilities

• Own scalable, distributed infrastructure powering Snap's services.
• Build and operate Service Mesh, Compute, Network, and Deployments infra.
• Collaborate across teams to translate requirements into solutions.
