Job summary

Snap Inc. is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to own highly scalable, distributed, multi-cloud infrastructure powering Snap's services.

You will help build and operate the Service Mesh, Compute, Network, and Deployments Infrastructure while partnering with teams to translate product requirements into robust technical solutions. You will apply best practices for availability, cost management, and operational excellence, provide technical direction across the company, and mentor engineers as

Qualifications

Experience leading or owning large-scale distributed systems.
Strong programming and software design skills, with debugging and profiling.
Experience architecting cloud infrastructure and service-m mesh aware architectures.
Proven ability to lead technical direction for engineering projects.

Responsibilities

Own scalable, distributed, multi-cloud infrastructure powering Snap's services.
Build and operate Snap's Service Mesh, Compute, Network, and Deployments Infrastructure.
Work across teams to translate product requirements into robust technical solutions.
