Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems Sector in Morrisville, NC, is seeking a Software Engineer Level 3 or 4 to join an agile team using Java, Python, C++, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and AWS. The position emphasizes new development and maintenance of baselines within a fast-paced environment and requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.

The team operates on a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off, and is 100% onsite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other STEM-related degree with 5+ years of software development experience
• Experience with Java, Python, and/or C++ in a Linux environment
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and container platforms like Docker, Kubernetes and Helm

Responsibilities

• Develop new software features on an agile team using modern development practices
• Maintain and sustain existing baselines, potentially involving C++ programming
• Work in a Docker/Kubernetes/AWS environment to deliver software in containers
• Collaborate with teammates on design reviews, testing, and integration
