Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Software Engineer Level 2 in Morrisville, NC to join an agile development team building and maintaining software using Java, Python, and C++. You will work with Docker containers, Kubernetes, Helm charts, and AWS, while occasionally contributing to C/C++ for sustainment tasks.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or another STEM field with 2+ years of software development experience; Master’s degree not required.
Ability to obtain/maintain Top Secret/SCI clearance; US Citizenship required.
Experience with Agile development using Java, Python, and/or C++ in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment.
Experience with CI/CD tools and Dockerization/Container Management (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
Cloud experience in AWS and related tools; strong mathematics background; OO design and software lifecycles; version control experience.

Responsibilities

Develop mostly new software on an agile team using Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and AWS services.
Maintain and sustain existing baselines, potentially involving C/C++ programming.
Collaborate in a fast-paced environment with emphasis on delivering secure, scalable software.
