Job summary

Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is hiring a Software Engineer (Level 2/4) to design, develop and maintain Python applications on Linux in a SCIF environment. This 100% onsite role is located in Morrisville, NC or Fairfax, VA, with a 9/80 schedule and every other Friday off.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required at application time.
• Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years experience or Master’s with 0; or 4+ years’ experience in lieu.
• Software development on Linux platforms.
• Strong Python and Git skills.
• Ability to write clean, secure code.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Python applications on Linux servers.
• Follow Git workflows including branching and CI pipelines.
• Participate in code reviews and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure software.
• Contribute to Docker/Kubernetes deployments and AWS integrations.
• Create technical documentation and follow DoD security standards.
