Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems seeks a Software Engineer in Aurora, CO to join an agile team delivering modern software on micro-service architecture using Docker and Kubernetes. You will design, develop and troubleshoot applications with Java, Spring and Vue in a security-clearance environment.

You will work on programs across development and operations lifecycles, with opportunities for growth, CI/CD tooling, and collaboration across sites.

Qualifications

• Level 4: Bachelor's degree in science with 8+ years of software development experience; 6+ years with a Master's; or 4 additional years of relative experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Current and active Top Secret/SCI security clearance required at time of application.
• Experience designing, developing, and troubleshooting using object-oriented programming (Java).
• Experience with Container Management (Dockers and Docker-Compose) and networking with containers.
• Comfortable using git, including branching, merging, and resolving merge conflicts.
• Experience in Spring, Vue, GIT, Agile, Elasticsearch, and Maven are also required.

Responsibilities

• We are looking for a Software Engineer experienced in software development who wants to work on an agile development team using modern development practices tackling both new development and operational support.
• Our Aurora campus has numerous programs in all phases on the development and operational lifecycle, from smaller single scrum team efforts to larger multi-team efforts.
• Many of our programs are using a micro-service event driven architecture using Docker Containers, Kubernetes.
