Job summary

Xometry is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead a high-impact embedded partner integration in our Partner Ecosystems team. You will architect and guide the extraction of Xometry's AI engines and embed them into a major partner's core digital ecosystem, enabling real-time manufacturability insights within the design environment.

Hybrid work with 3 days on-site at either North Bethesda, MD or Waltham, MA.

Qualifications

8-12+ years of professional software development experience with a track record of leading complex initiatives.
Deep experience in Python backend services, React/TypeScript embedded UIs, and AWS cloud infrastructure.
Significant expertise in system architecture, microservices design, and distributed data exchange with enterprise ecosystems.
Proven ability to build enterprise-grade integrations beyond simple API wrappers.
Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

Lead discovery, architectural design, and adoption of flagship embedded partner integration.
Define AI tooling and data-flow patterns to support sub-second latency in the partner UI.
Solve deep technical coupling issues between Xometry marketplace and partner software with secure data governance.
Drive multi-quarter roadmaps and cross-team decision-making to move from simple snippets to native integration.
Act as principal technical point of contact for partner engineering teams and mentor engineers.
