Job summary

Xometry, a NASDAQ-listed company, seeks a Staff Software Engineer for its Core Platform team. You will re-architect core services to run natively in partner ecosystems, guiding AI-driven geometry analysis and zero-latency DFM/ procurement workflows. The role anchors hybrid work at North Bethesda, MD or Waltham, MA.

You will lead multi-team collaboration, establish engineering patterns, and drive enterprise-grade, secure deployments with SLA adherence.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of professional software development experience.
• Expert-level mastery of Python and AWS infrastructure.
• Experience as a Systems Architect shaping technical direction and patterns.
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Design high-performance solutions that extend beyond a single org and set engineering standards.
• Lead integration of AI pipelines into the application layer and mentor engineers on AI tooling.
• Solve data governance, security, and multi-tenant concerns across partner ecosystems.
• Define strategic direction and drive execution of core platform integration initiatives.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to document decisions and risk/reward tradeoffs.
• Define reliability and security standards for enterprise deployments across partner-hosted or Xometry-hosted environments.
