Job summary

NetDocuments seeks a Principal Software Engineer – Intelligent DMS to provide technical leadership across the next generation of our document management platform. You will shape architecture for web, mobile, desktop, Microsoft 365 integrations, and AI-powered capabilities, coordinating across product, design, platform, and AI teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience at Staff level or above.
• Experience setting architecture and technical direction across multiple products or teams.
• Experience leading cross-team technical initiatives without formal authority.
• Strong design skills in distributed systems, cloud apps, microservices, and enterprise integrations.
• Strong full-stack skills across frontend and backend; stack includes C#, .NET, React, and TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Provide architectural direction and engineering standards across multiple teams.
• Lead architectural decisions for web, mobile, backend, and AI-powered experiences.
• Define shared patterns, data models, and integration approaches for a cohesive platform.
• Lead cross-team initiatives from ideation to production.
• Evaluate trade-offs for scalability, security, performance, and maintainability.
• Mentor engineers and drive engineering practices across the org.
