Job summary

Raytheon in Andover, MA is seeking a Principal Engineer, Semiconductor Technical Lead to spearhead III-V process development for gallium arsenide/nitride devices and focal plane arrays. You will manage cross-functional projects across the foundry, lead reliability and yield analyses, and drive transition to production while shaping future process technology roadmaps.

The role requires strong data analysis, process characterization, and effective communication with leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in photolithography, dry etching, wet chemistry, metal evaporation, sputtering and backside processing.
• Knowledge of III-V device characteristics and MMIC performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and support independent and contract R&D projects.
• Develop process development and yield improvement ideas in collaboration with the Advanced Technology program team.
• Provide SME on yield drivers in the semiconductor foundry and interface with programs on MMIC yield loss.
• Develop semiconductor technology roadmaps to identify next-generation processes and equipment needs.
• Drive transition-to-production initiatives and bridge development to MMIC sustainment.
• Create and maintain schedules for process development and yield initiatives to meet timelines and budgets.
• Communicate status and root-cause investigations to senior leadership and customers.
• Collaborate with MMIC design teams to enable product performance and reliability improvements.
