Job summary

LexisNexis Legal & Professional is seeking a Principal Security Engineer to embed security into product design from the outset. You will partner with product and engineering teams, influence senior stakeholders, and drive secure innovation across global teams.

You will translate policy into technical requirements, work on data protection and identity in SaaS platforms, and help maintain trust materials and customer questionnaires for informed purchasing decisions.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in a SaaS or cloud-based product environment with security integrated into design and GTM.
• Track record of working with Product and Engineering teams and challenging assumptions.
• Comfort engaging with senior stakeholders to influence outcomes independently.
• Strong security knowledge in SaaS domains: data protection, identity, application security.
• Curiosity about AI tools and their impact on product development and security practice.
• Ability to work autonomously across a global team.
• Experience translating policy into technical or computational requirements.
• Familiar with legal, compliance, or regulated industries.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools and workflows.
• Experience responding to customer security questionnaires and maintaining a trust knowledge base.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product and Engineering to embed security requirements from the outset, coordinating with privacy teams.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders to build credibility and influence.
• Collaborate across Information Security to engage needed security teams for new feature design.
• Create and refresh customer trust materials (brochures, whitepapers, questionnaires) and hand to Customer Engagement.
• Mentor and support junior engineers within the Business Engagement team on security and stakeholder engagement.
• Stay current on AI’s impact on product capability and security practices.
