Job summary

LexisNexis Risk Solutions Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer III to join our cloud-native team. You will design, build, deploy, and support scalable enterprise applications with an AI-first mindset, owning complex initiatives and mentoring junior engineers.

You will work across software engineering, cloud infrastructure, and security, implementing CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes deployments, and secure coding practices to drive reliable and secure software delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, object-oriented programming, and system design patterns.
• Experience designing and building scalable enterprise applications.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with cloud-native technologies and deployment practices.
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerized application deployments.
• Experience using Azure cloud services.
• Experience creating and supporting CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar technologies.
• Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools, agents, and automation platforms to improve software delivery and operational outcomes.
• Strong understanding of application and infrastructure security concepts.
• Experience analyzing CVEs, performing risk assessments, and driving remediation activities.
• Experience supporting applications running on both Linux and Windows environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
• Apply established software design patterns and engineering best practices to create scalable, maintainable, and secure systems.
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to system design decisions.
• Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across multiple application layers.
• Ensure software quality through automated testing, monitoring, and continuous improvement practices.
• Build, deploy, and support applications running in cloud-native environments.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and related automation technologies.
• Deploy and troubleshoot workloads running on Kubernetes.
• Support Azure-based infrastructure and services, ensuring reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with platform and infrastructure teams to improve deployment automation, observability, and operational efficiency.
• Participate in root cause analysis and remediation of production incidents.
• Leverage AI-powered development tools, agents, and automation frameworks to improve engineering productivity.
