Job summary

LexisNexis is seeking a Principal Security Engineer to be the senior security voice guiding product and technology teams. You will ensure security and trust are built in from the first requirement, not added later, and partner with the Customer Engagement team to update trust materials.

You will operate with autonomy, mentor junior staff, and influence security across our Tier one roadmap, shaping the Business Engagement function for scalable impact.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience securing SaaS or cloud-based products.
• Proven ability to work with product and engineering teams.
• Credible with senior stakeholders and independent influence.
• Deep knowledge of data protection, identity, and application security.
• Curiosity about AI and its impact on product security.

Responsibilities

• Embed security requirements into feature design from the outset.
• Advise senior stakeholders and influence product decisions.
• Collaborate with Information Security to engage the right teams.
• Refresh customer trust materials and transition to Customer Engagement.
• Mentor junior engineers within the Business Engagement team.
• Stay current on AI reshaping product capability and security risks.
