Job summary

Imagine Pediatrics, a tech-enabled pediatric care group, seeks a Principal Security Engineer to set the security vision across devices, data, and cloud services. You will collaborate with Engineering on DevSecOps, lead architecture reviews, and guide incident response while maintaining HITRUST/HIPAA alignment.

You will drive cloud and identity security for AWS and Azure, manage non-human identities, and influence secure design patterns company-wide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• 10+ years in security engineering roles; healthcare experience preferred.
• Track record setting security strategy across security, IT and engineering.
• Deep cloud and identity security expertise across AWS and Azure/EntraID.
• Hands-on security: threat modeling, secure SDLC, and securing APIs (FHIR).
• Experience translating HITRUST and HIPAA requirements into technical controls.

Responsibilities

• Set the technical security vision for endpoints, email, DLP, vulnerability management, and more.
• Define long-term cloud and identity security strategy across AWS and Azure.
• Lead security architecture reviews and threat modeling for Care Hub and Snowflake.
• Define DevSecOps strategy and standardize gates across SDLC/CI-CD with best practices.
• Serve as on-call escalation point and strengthen incident playbooks and drills.
• Demonstrate security posture to regulators, payors, and auditors with evidence pipelines.
