Job summary

Johnson & Johnson seeks a Principal Scientist in Cambridge, MA to lead advanced spatial omics and functional genomics initiatives. You will guide MPRA design, CRISPR-based screens, and integrated multiomic analyses across discovery programs, partnering with computational biology to translate data into therapeutic hypotheses.

The role requires a PhD with 6+ years in biotech/pharma, strong leadership, and expertise in spatial biology, genomics, and high-content screening.

Qualifications

PhD in Genetics, Genomics, Molecular Biology, Systems Biology, Human Biology, Bioengineering, Computational Biology, or a related discipline. Postdoctoral training preferred.
Minimum 6 years of biotech/pharma industry experience or equivalent translational research experience.
Proven leadership with publications, presentations, or patents.
Expertise across Spatial omics and functional genomics, including MPRAs or pooled screening.
Experience in experimental design, assay development, and platform deployment.
Ability to integrate multiomics data with biological insights.

Responsibilities

Lead development and deployment of massively parallel reporter assays with spatial biology integration.
Design workflows connecting perturbation data with spatial phenotypes.
Collaborate with computational teams to build scalable analysis pipelines.
Serve as scientific lead across discovery programs and external collaborations.
