Job summary

Pioneering Intelligence is seeking a Principal Scientist (Embedded ML/Computational) to lead AI/ML and computational projects across preclinical to clinical R&D. You will define pragmatic AI strategies and oversee cross-functional teams, wiring protein design and omics pipelines with agentic workflows.

The role demands leadership, deep ML expertise, and hands-on work with modern frameworks, LLM platforms, and agent orchestration to accelerate discovery and translation within Flagship's ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in scientific/engineering/computational roles in tech or pharma.
• Proven leadership and cross-functional AI/ML project delivery.
• Strong Python and ML framework experience.
• Publications or patents in relevant fields preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI/ML and computational projects across ventures and PM programs.
• Own end-to-end agentic systems for accelerating R&D.
• Define pragmatic AI strategies and oversee method development.
• Mentor scientists and engineers; support recruiting.
• Scout literature and identify opportunities to accelerate pipelines.
