Job summary

1910 seeks an AI Research Scientist III to drive AI/ML solutions for drug discovery within a fast-paced biotech startup. You will prototype production-ready models, publish research findings, and mentor junior researchers while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You will lead design campaigns, apply AI/ML to cheminformatics and bioinformatics challenges, and stay current on frontier AI methods relevant to drug discovery.

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant discipline with strong publications.
• 3+ years in AI, drug discovery, or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of statistics and classical ML methods.
• Experience deploying deep learning models (Transformers, Graph Neural Networks).
• Production-quality Python code with code repositories.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI/ML solutions for drug design pipelines.
• Prototype and publish peer-reviewed work.
• Mentor junior researchers; conduct 1:1s and reviews.
• Collaborate across biology, chemistry, and data science teams.
