Adimab, LLC is seeking a Principal Research Associate in Antibody Discovery (Immunology) to join a collaborative team advancing in vivo antibody discovery and optimization. You will work on yeast and mammalian cell systems, handle B cells, perform FACS, and analyze data to drive antibody programs.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in immunology, molecular biology, bioengineering or related field with 4+ years in academia or industry.
• Experience with basic lab techniques: sterile culture, PCR, cloning, flow cytometry.
• Ability to analyze and present data; proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent organization, problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Culture yeast and mammalian cells; handle lymphocytes and perform characterizations.

Title: Principal Research Associate, Antibody Discovery (Immunology)

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated, and enthusiastic biologist/bioengineer to join our Antibody Discovery immunology team. The Principal Research Associate will work in a small, collaborative team to execute and advance Adimab’s in vivo antibody discovery and optimization platform against challenging targets. This role will closely interface with a variety of internal Adimab teams and work closely with external drug discovery partners. The successful candidate will have prior experience in immunology, biotechnology, and flow cytometry.

Responsibilities:

• Basic handling and culture of yeast and mammalian cells
• Murine and human lymphocyte sample handling and characterization
• Primary B cell isolation using fluorescence activated cell sorting (FACS)
• Collecting, organizing, analyzing, data for a variety of internal and external presentations
• Interpreting antibody characterization data
• Construction and selection of yeast antibody libraries
• Mammalian cell-based characterization assays
• Quantification of antibody and B cell responses
• Single-cell RT-PCR
• Tracking and upkeep of lab reagents and stocks
• Collaborating effectively with internal departments and external partners

Needed Upon Hire:

• B.S. or M.S. in immunology, molecular biology, biological engineering, cellular biology, or a closely related field with 4+ year(s) experience in an academic or industry setting
• Demonstrated experience with basic laboratory techniques (e.g. PCR, stoichiometric calculations, molecular cloning, sterile sample handling, sterile tissue culture, flow cytometry)
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate, interpret, and present scientific data with a mastery of Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
• Familiarity with the basic concepts of immunology and antibody responses
• Excellent organization skills, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
• Self-directed with a proven track record of executing independently at the bench and driving projects to completion
• Adaptable and productive in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication skills with the ability to speak openly with colleagues and supervisors
• Demonstrated success working within a team and collaborating with multiple groups in an organization

Value-added Experience:

• Significant previous experience with standard immunological assays (e.g. ELISA, flow cytometry), single-cell RT-PCR, and immune or synthetic library building and selection, would distinguish a highly qualified candidate
• Significant yeast handling and antibody engineering background
• Experience with the design and execution of mammalian immunization strategies
