Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer in the Systems Engineering & Test Capabilities Directorate to lead air defense radar programs such as AN/TPY-2, EWR, and OTHR. The role targets integration, testing, and sustainment across development, production, and fielded systems.

The candidate will drive requirements, design, test planning, V&V, and cross-team collaboration with potential relocation to support MA or AL sites. Strong leadership and DoD program experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with systems engineering, radar data analysis, integration, verification and testing.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, Perl, C/C++, Linux; exposure to DoD programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Orchestrate development and execution of a complex air defense program spanning two IPTs.
• Monitor work scope, staffing, and provide feedback on execution across teams.
• Coordinate across disciplines to resolve roadblocks and meet objectives.
• Support program execution with continuous improvement of people, processes, and tools.
• Travel up to 10% locally and non-locally.
