Job summary

AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Principal Project Manager to support mine tailings storage facility and heavy civil infrastructure design and analysis as part of the Mining group in Denver, CO, Salt Lake City, Utah, or Phoenix, Arizona.

Job responsibilities include leading large-scale TSF projects, maintaining client interfaces, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and managing budgets, schedules, and risk with a strong focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• BA/BS + 10 years of relevant experience or equivalent, including 2 years in leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership on large-scale tailings storage facility (TSF) projects, overseeing planning, design, and construction.
• Serve as primary client interface, building strong relationships with mining clients, regulators and stakeholders.
• Direct multi-disciplinary teams of engineers in developing design solutions for TSF and water management infrastructure.
• Champion health, safety, and environmental excellence across all project phases.
• Lead project financial management including contracts, budgets, schedules and changes.
• Implement earned value management (EVM) to track cost and schedule performance.
• Mentor engineering leads and project control team members.
