Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Sector in Rapid City, SD is seeking an experienced Principal Project Management/Senior Principal Project Manager to join our Program Management Office. This non-management role focuses on reviewing project status, budgets, resource planning, meetings, and administrative support in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will lead multiple projects, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure on-time, within-budget performance while navigating government

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years in PM, or Master’s with 3+ years.
• Experience leading a project and driving performance against schedule.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience working with and manipulating detail-oriented data.
• Ability to obtain/maintain U.S. Secret clearance in-scope

Responsibilities

• Support the program to accomplish monthly deliverables, metrics, and presentations.
• Collaborate across functions to meet objectives.
• Monitor cost & schedule performance and support leadership reporting.
• Coordinate SMT teams including engineers, subcontract admins, QA, logistics, schedulers, and cost/material planners.
• Execute earned value management of labor and material control accounts.
• Report earned value and supplier status to Program Managers and IPT Management.
• Prepare conference/meeting materials for internal and external audiences.
• Participate in contractual and technical meetings and take notes for reports.
• Capture and manage Action Items to completion.
• Utilize tools/templates for progress monitoring.
