Job summary

Baltimore Gas and Electric (BGE) is seeking a Principal Business Program Manager to lead enterprise risk management for Transmission and Substation capital projects. You will integrate risk, scope, schedule, and cost to improve project readiness and financial predictability.

Ideal candidates will have front-end project development expertise and strong experience in governance, risk identification, and cross-functional collaboration across Planning, Engineering, and Finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a business or STEM field with a minimum of 7-10 years relevant experience.
• Advanced knowledge of standards, methods, processes and practices in the functional area supported.
• Proficiency in project portfolio management and related tools to support business needs.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and conflict management skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive change.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve PIT’s portfolio-wide project risk management framework.
• Lead risk identification with cross-functional stakeholders across multiple departments.
• Coordinate risk mitigation strategies to align with capital planning and contingency decisions.
• Track risk owners, mitigation commitments, and escalate time-sensitive risks.
• Develop portfolio-level risk reporting, dashboards, and executive narratives.
• Drive process improvements with templates, guidance, and training materials.
• Provide analytical and program management support with emphasis on risk management.
• Manage large, complex projects requiring standard project management practices.
