Job description

Principal Product Manager - Technical, ADSP: Identity

Job ID: 2981303 | Amazon.com Services LLC

We are looking for a seasoned product manager to drive the overarching strategy for our Advertising Identity program. Amazon's Ad Tech business builds highly scalable infrastructure and tooling that handles billions of advertising queries every day and provides the foundation for Amazon’s rapidly growing advertising business.

As part of Ad Tech, the Advertising Identity program powers intelligent ad buying by developing the underlying id spine for programmatic advertising. Our products help optimize performance and deliver personalized experiences in an ever-evolving privacy landscape, delivering ads when customers are listening to a podcast during their morning commute, shopping on the Amazon Store, or watching a movie on Prime Video. We enable a suite of ads products, from planning, audience onboarding and delivery, reach and frequency forecasting, to data collaboration and measurement.

As the lead product manager, you will leverage your deep understanding of AdTech/MarTech space to “Invent and Simplify” and take our identity products to the next level. You will work closely with our data platform and science team which process massive data sets to develop business intelligence and insights that are critical for the efficiency and profitability of our advertising business, and with our MLOps and engineering teams which package these insights into new identity product offerings. You will also work closely with junior product managers on the team to develop and execute go-to-market strategies for key verticals and locations, including engaging with vendors. You will bring great customer focus, the ability to rapidly prioritize and get things done, and strong communication and collaboration skills.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

* Customer Obsession: Work backwards from the customer to identify new business opportunities. Distill product insights and set overarching strategy for the Advertising Identity program.
* Data-Driven Decision Making: Define success metrics and drive continuous improvement by working across science, engineering, and product.
* Stakeholder Management: Interface with and influence your stakeholders across business, engineering, science, legal, privacy, and policy teams. You will balance business needs vs. technical constraints in a privacy compliant way and drive clarity in ambiguous situations.
* Thought Leader: Stay on top of trends in the advertising identity industry. Drive engagements with other AdTech companies and industry bodies, positioning Amazon Advertising as a leader in this space.
* Role Model and Mentor: Support the skill and career development of junior members of the team. Educate stakeholders how to best leverage our identity suite for their use cases.

By joining Advertising Identity, you will experience the benefits of working in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment while leveraging the resources of Amazon.com (AMZN), one of the world’s leading Internet companies. Our teams are spread across two hubs (Palo Alto, CA and New York, NY) and this position could be based in either location.
