Job summary

Fauna Robotics, an Amazon company, is seeking a Principal Product Manager – Technical to own the vision, roadmap, and execution for a next-generation robot platform designed for safety-certified architecture and cost-optimized design.

You will lead cross-functional coordination across hardware, software, safety, science, and operations to deliver a platform achieving aggressive cost targets while meeting safety certification for unattended autonomous home operation.

Qualifications

• Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.
• Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product.
• Experience technical product management.
• 10+ years of product management experience in hardware or hardware + software products.
• 7+ years shipping consumer electronics, robotics, or safety-critical systems through full development lifecycle.
• Technical background with ability to drive architecture decisions.
• Experience managing BOM cost-down programs with aggressive targets.

Responsibilities

• Own the platform product roadmap end-to-end: requirements, architecture trade-offs, milestones, deployment.
• Drive BOM optimization to meet aggressive cost targets through platform decisions and DFМ.
• Define and manage requirements for safety-certifiable autonomous operation including hazard analysis.
• Lead cross-functional coordination across hardware, software, science, and safety teams.
• Translate learnings from current platform into architecture decisions for next-gen product.
• Define success metrics for large-scale deployments.
• Drive trade-offs between weight, cost, sensor fidelity, compute, and safety margins.
• Partner with software teams to fit autonomy stack within compute footprint.
• Ensure architectural decisions de-risk downstream programs.
