Job summary

Fauna Robotics, an Amazon company, is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to own quality systems across the full hardware lifecycle—from prototypes to volume production with our contract manufacturers.

You will partner with mechanical, electrical, embedded software, and manufacturing teams to define test coverage, enforce DFM/DFT principles, and ensure safety and reliability across deliverables.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of quality engineering in a hardware product company.
• Experience with quality management systems in a contract manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with inspection tools, metrology, and functional test methods for electromechanical assemblies.
• Experience authoring work instructions and inspection criteria for production.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain quality management systems for early production hardware.
• Define inspection criteria for incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
• Lead First Article Inspection (FAI) processes with contract manufacturers.
• Drive DFMEA/PFMEA and reliability testing planning and execution.
