Job summary

ArcBest in Boston seeks a Principal Product Manager for Robotics Safety and Compliance to drive end-to-end lifecycle of the Smart Autonomy portfolio, translating customer insights into requirements.

You will lead cross-functional teams across hardware, software and safety domains, architect risk mitigation, and align with certifications to enable safe deployments and recurring revenue growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in robotics, electrical/mechanical/systems/industrial engineering, or CS.
• Master’s degree (or MBA) in robotics, AI, engineering, or related field preferred.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in robotics, autonomy, or industrial automation products.
• Experience working with robotics engineering teams across hardware, perception, autonomy software, and control systems.
• Proficient with analytics tools to analyze product performance (Excel, SQL, Python, Tableau).

Responsibilities

• Translate strategy into multi-horizon roadmaps and actionable product requirements.
• Lead safety and compliance strategies to meet multi-category standards and certifications.
• Oversee hazard analysis and risk mitigation for safe deployment of products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed safety across hardware and software.
• Manage OEMs and suppliers to ensure certifications and scalability.
• Communicate product progress and roadmap decisions to leadership.
