Job summary

Ro is seeking a Principal Product Designer to raise Ro’s patient experience through exceptional visual and interaction craft. You will lead design systems evolution, shape AI-assisted product development, and mentor senior designers across the organization.

You will partner with Design, Product, Engineering, Growth, and Marketing to set a high bar for design quality and drive adoption of scalable design patterns that enhance patient experiences at scale.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience designing and shipping high-impact digital products across web and mobile.
• Experience building, evolving, or driving adoption of design systems at scale.
• Operate as a systems thinker and hands-on maker.
• Strong conceptual thinking and creative-direction skills.
• Experience designing consumer-facing experiences where brand, storytelling, growth and conversion matter.
• Demonstrated Principal-level leadership and influence.

Responsibilities

• Raise the design quality across Ro with exceptional craft, direction, and product thinking.
• Lead the evolution of Ro’s Design System with vision and roadmap.
• Shape how Design Systems enable AI-assisted product development with tools like Claude and Figma Make.
• Bring creative direction to Vertical Growth with cross-functional collaboration.
• Turn exploration into reusable systems that improve Ro across products.
• Lead difficult design problems from ambiguity to execution.
• Elevate the broader Product Design org through mentoring and critique.
• Partner with Product Design leadership on the future of the patient experience.
