Job summary

Deel is seeking a Principal Designer to shape the frontier of product experience. You will work directly with the Chief Design Officer to orchestrate end-to-end design across multiple surfaces, driving intent-to-resolution flows and innovative interaction paradigms.

This role requires leadership through craft, not people management, in a fast-paced SaaS environment. You will partner with product, engineering, and design teams to ensure coherence, scalability, and strong narrative visibility

Qualifications

• 10+ years in design, including 2+ years at principal level, in fast-paced product environments.
• Systems thinker who designs across product surfaces and organizational boundaries.
• Self-directed and comfortable owning end-to-end problems with ambiguity.
• Prototyping and craft skills with strong visual and interaction sense.
• Experience designing AI-powered product experiences (agentic workflows, generative UI, personalization).
• Familiar with personalization systems and segmentation without owning data models.
• Collaborative cross-functional partner across design, product, and engineering; strong narrative.

Responsibilities

• Design undefined vision into shippable experiences anchored in orchestration and intent-to-resolution design.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and design leads across Deel's vertical teams for coherent, scalable work.
• Prototype and test novel interaction paradigms and personalization experiences.
• Design experiences powered by Deel's segmentation and personalization infrastructure.
• Push design patterns forward and contribute to the design system without owning it.
• Build alignment across teams with compelling design narratives and prototypes.
