Job summary

BuildOps in San Francisco is seeking a Head of Product Design to lead and scale the design organization across our SaaS platform. You will shape user experience, drive long-term design strategy, and embed AI into workflows and customer experiences.

You will build a world-class team, establish cross-functional partnerships, and translate research into delightful, enterprise-grade solutions that power field tech, dispatch, and back-office workflows.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in product design with 5+ years leading design teams in high-growth SaaS.
• Proven ability to set and execute a cohesive design vision.
• Experience shipping B2B or B2B2C products across mobile and web.
• Strong UX/UI, interaction design, and systems thinking fluency.
• Mentoring designers and building high-performing teams.
• Disciplined use of AI tools to accelerate design processes.
• Excellent communication with executives and stakeholders.
• Compelling portfolio showing product thinking and business impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a team of product designers across surfaces.
• Set strategic design vision aligned with company strategy.
• Define team structure, hire top talent, mentor the team.
• Establish cross-functional partnerships with Product, Eng, Marketing, leadership.
• Champion design systems, tooling, and scalable processes.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering on enterprise-grade AI-powered experiences.
• Guide evolution of design system and visual language for mobile and web.
• Advocate for users using research, visits, and data to inform decisions.
• Foster rapid experimentation, feedback, and continuous improvement.
