Job summary

RTX's Pratt & Whitney Columbus Forged Blades Module Center seeks a Principal Process Engineer- NC Programmer to join our programming team onsite in NC. You will own the NC programs from design through production, using NX and Vericut, and help develop postprocessors and standard work.

You will partner with a strong NC programming group to improve cost, quality and lead times on airfoil components made from Inconel, titanium, and aluminum, and contribute to NPI projects in a fast-paced aerospace

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and 8+ years of experience in engineering or manufacturing OR a Master’s degree with 5+ years of experience.
Experience with graphic programming, part modeling, and program simulation software including NX and Vericut; ability to use process monitoring software.

Responsibilities

Programming of airfoils, roots, and spindles from various alloys (Inconel, Titanium, Aluminum).
Select new capital equipment and bring it into production.
Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.
Collaborate with NC programming team to advance technology and processing of airfoils.
Lead process improvement on existing hardware to reduce cost, improve quality and lead times.
