Job summary

CONMED Corporation is seeking a Principal Polymer Processing Engineer - Injection Molding in Largo, FL. This role leads technical initiatives across design, tooling, process development, and validation for medical device components.

You will partner with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory and Supply Chain to drive product transfers, process optimization, and manufacturing readiness while maintaining compliance with FDA quality systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Polymer/Plastics/related engineering required.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible engineering experience in injection molding/polymer processing.
• Experience troubleshooting injection molded parts and steering root-cause analysis across design, material, process and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for complex injection molding processes, molds, and supporting technologies.
• Lead development, qualification and validation of molding processes and equipment.
• Define processing windows and control strategies to ensure repeatable manufacturing.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate across functions to meet product, quality and cost goals.
• Support manufacturing transfers, repairs, and process improvements across sites.
